Hullo, I just congenital a pc with the b450 tomahawk and was wandering what the best fashion to update the bios is?
Should I apply that flash bios button or just exercise it in the bios?

My Dominion of thumb on BIOS updates is that you should ONLY flash an updated BIOS if it has improvements/features that your current BIOS doesn't have that will benefit your setup.
In other words if your PC runs well with the electric current BIOS you don't need to update the BIOS.

In my current case I am running a BIOS version that is four versions old because the newer versions don't add anything that will improve my current setup.
The newer version for my MB are all for compatibility with the new AMD Ryzen 3000 Series CPUs and I have a Ryzen 2000 serial CPU.
So until I upgrade my CPU updating the BIOS would actually brand my PC run worse than information technology does now.

There are take chances with updating the bios. I would not update it unless there is a specific reason. I think either way is fine to update. I have never used flashback, I accept e'er updated it through the bios. Just dont update it through windows.

Is it not worth updating it and so if information technology'south already compatible?

"if it's not broken, it doesn't need fixing". This is said quite regularly, and I mostly agree with information technology. Are there any bugs that you would like to be fixed, or is at that place annihilation in the new BIOS that you would like to be added? If not, I'd simply not update.

Is information technology non worth updating it and then if information technology's already compatible?
That is correct. What are you trying to practise? Are you lot upgrading to a 3rd gen Ryzen CPU? If that is the case, so yes you need to update the bios. Simply if you are simply wanting to update the bios just because a bios update is available then dont. Updating the firmware is not similar updating Windows. Simply do it when you demand to.
